Ltd. As affected by planning and fund, JIGang Cold Mill did not bought Office Automation System from supplier. As release of production capacity and steel market change of supply and demand, the situation of no OAS brought about many difficulties in the productive process. This paper is mainly discussed how to solve this problem and improve roller management.OAS(Office Automation System) is a detail management method of information, such as register, manufacture, maintenance, online-condition, roller preparation and so on , after all rolls get into the workplace, which has replaced of the previous backward method of roll management depending on simply record-card, trace-card, inventory and so on which were made of paper. The new method makes roll management more systematic, more convenient, more accurate and more high-efficient.The writer made investigations about the current situation of roll management, using management methods of other cold rolling plants for reference. With which the writer found weakness of roll management in JiGang Cold Mill and gave optimizations. To ensure the building of the system goes on smoothly, the writer studied a lot such as relevant knowledge of VB and SQL, how to set up, optimize and combine a module of a paper, how to set up functions of a module etc. function test is the soul of this paper. Although we adopt many technique methods during development of administrative system, there is big difference between process and actual result because we never did systematic test in the earlier stage.
