Extra exercise I : silent letters
1) Work in groups and list example words with the following silent letters: b, c, d, g, h, k, l, n, s, t, w. The more, the better.
2) The class have a vocabulary contest for one or two silent letter (decided by the teacher randomly).
3) Each group chooses a representative to the front for an oral competition. Each one should pop out one correct word with corresponding silent letters in your turn. If you fail to speak out a correct word in 3 seconds, you will be expelled from the competition. Let’s see which group can be the champion.
