AbstractUnderthecurrentbackgroundofthedeepeningglobalization,communicationinpolitics,economy,scienceandtechnology,culturalexchangesamongdifferentcountriesisbecomingmoreandmorefrequentthanbefore.Translation,actingasthebridgeofinterculturalcommunication,playsanimportantroleinhumanbeing’scivilization.DuringthelonghistoryofthedevelopmentofChineseculture,agreatnumberofChineseculture-specificexpressionswiththeiruniquefeaturesineconomicdevelopmentpattern,philosophythinkingandlifestyleshavegraduallycomeintobeing,occupyinganimportantpositioninChineseculture.Chineseculture-specifictermsareaspecificreflectionofourcountryandavividreflectionofanation’shistoryandpeculiarcultures.EspeciallysinceChina’sreformandopeninguptotheoutsideworld,thesocietyhasundergonegreatchangesinallwalksoflife，soalargevarietyofChineseculture-specificnewtermscameintobeing,makingtheirappearancesinourdailylife.ThesecontemporaryChineseculture-specifictermsmanifestthegreatachievementsofourcountryandplayacrucialroleinspreadingChineseculture.Howeverduetotheirrichculturalconnotationsandmoderncharacteristics,theyposegreatchallengesanddifficultiestoourtranslators.ThetranslationofcontemporaryChineseculture-specifictermsisessentiallyaspecialcommunication,inter-lingualandintercultural.Itfollowsthegeneralrulesofcommunication.Inthisthesis,theauthormakesaresearchintoChineseculture-specifictermstranslationfromtheinterculturalcommunicationperspective,withthehopeofprovidingarelativelycomprehensiveandsystematictheoreticalframework,broadeningtheresearchexpectationsandenrichingtheresearchcontents.TheabundantexamplesinthisthesisarequotedfromChina’smainstreamEnglishnewspapers,especiallyfromChinaDaily.Domesticationandforeignizationarebothapplicablestrategies.Globalizationisthegeneraltendencyinthisworld.Beingthemaintranslationstrategy,foreignizationcanpreservetheculturalflavorsoftheSL,andhelpwidentheinfluenceofChinesecultureininternationalarena.However,domesticationcannarrowculturalconflictsandachieveahighsenseofreadabilityforthe
