摘要动机是学习第二语言或者外语的决定性因素之一。本文在Gardner，Lambert和其他国内外学者关于学习动机研究的基础上，研究了2013年秋季上海外国语大学进修班留学生学习汉语的动机特点，同时研究了本校留学生奖学金与学习动机的关系。通过问卷调查、运用SPSS21统计软件、描述性统计分析、差异性分析等方法，研究了留学生个体因素的特点，并且分析了这些因素同学习汉语动机之间的相关性。分析结果简单概括如下：1)2013年上海外国语大学的留学生学习动机主要可以分为3大类：工作需要动机、文化融入动机和旅游动机。具有工作需要动机的人数最多。2)留学生国籍、年龄和动机有明显的相关性。不同国籍留学生学习汉语的动机，有明显差异，在工作动机方面则更加明显。3)留学生的实际汉语水平高低对汉语学习的动机没有明显的影响。4)奖学金跟成绩有一定的相关性。想获得奖学金的自费留学生成绩高于不想获得奖学金资助的留学生。已获得奖学金资助的留学生的成绩低于想获得奖学金的自费留学生的成绩。在此基础上，本文对教学内容的安排、对教材的选用、对教学活动的展开提出了有针对性及参考性价值的建议。关键词：学习动机工作需要动机动机变化留学生奖学金2AbstractManyresearchersconsidermotivationtobeoneofthemaininfluencesonastudentsacademicperformanceinthestudyofaforeignlanguage.BasedontheresearchofGardner,Lambert,andothers,thisinvestigationsurveyedforeignstudentswhowerestudyingtheChineselanguageatShanghaiInternationalStudiesUniversity(SISU)inthefallof2013.ThesurveyaskedthestudentstoanswerquestionsabouttheirmotivationinstudyingChineseandwhetherornottheyhadorwantedtoreceiveascholarship.TheSPSScomputerprogramwasusedtoperformastatisticalanddifferentialanalysisoftheresultstothesurvey.Theresultsoftheanalysisshowedthefollowing:Mostofthestudentsmotivationcanbecategorizedasrelatedtoeitherwork,travel,orculturalinterest,withwork-relatedmotivationbeingthemostcommon.Studentsnationalityandagehadastrongcorrelationtotheirmotivation.StudentsproficiencyinChinesedidnothaveastrongcorrelationtotheirmotivation.Studentsacademicperformanceandscholarshipwerestronglycorrelated.Basedontheseresults,somesuggestionsforimprovingthecontentandschedulingoftheclasses,aswellastheselectionoftextbooksandorganizationofstudentactivities,willbeprovided.Keywords：motivation,workrelatedmotivation,changeinmotivation,foreignstudent,scholarship3目录摘要.............................................................................................................2Abstract3目录............................................................................................................4一、绪论.........................................................................................
