ABSTRACTRecently,surfacecollapseisacommonoccuranceinkarstarea,andpeoplehavesufferedlargeeconomiclossesonsoilcavecollapseinthecoveredkarstarea.Therearemoredisasterresearchonmechanismandmeasurewhicharecontinuingtomature,butthestabilitystudyisseriouslylaggingbehind.Alotofresearchersmakeananalysisonthesinglefailuremechanism,thatignoretheinteractionofothermechanism.Manyevaluationsaremadeontheroofstabilityasawhole,andthatlocalstabilityresearchisless.Forthisreason,studyonkarstcollapseformationmechanismandstabilityhaveveryimportantpracticalandeconomicsignificance.Thisdissertationsummarizethekarstcollapseinfluencingfactorsandformationmechanism,thatintroducetheresearchstatusanddevelopmentdirection.Guilinasatypicalkarstarea,thesoilcaveandcollapseareextensive,manyandhazard.Forexample,thatdiscussthequalitativeanalysisonthesoilcavecollapsefailuremechanisminthecoverdkarstareaandthequantitativecalculationofcriticalhydraulicgradientontheundergrounderosion.Thedissertationbaseonthestudyofsoilcavecollapse,analysestressdistributiononthesurroundingsoilbysimulation.Thisdissertationmainlydothefollowingwork:Summarizingthegeologicalenvironmentandinfluencingfactorsonkarstsurfacecollapse,makingadetailreviewontheroofstabilityevaluation.Groundwaterasthemaindynamicconditionofthekarstcollapse,whichisthemostimportantinfluencingfactorsthroughthesoilcaveformation,developmentandcollapsestages.Thereareundergrounderosion,vacuumsuction,disintegrationandpressuredifferencethatwhicharestronglyassociatedwiththegroundwater.Itanalysethemechanismofsoilcavecollapsedeeply.Siltysoilparticleastheresearchobjection,themodelisestablishedbymeansoftheprincipleoffluidmechanics.Itputforwardtheformulaofthecriticalhydraulicgradientontheseepagefailure,andthatillustratetheinitialconditionsofseepagebyexample.Differentphysicalandmechanicalpropertiesofthesoilhavedifferentengineeringgeologicalfeatures.Determinedbycarryingcapacityofsiltysoilthatundergrounderosionisimportantincohesionlesssoilfailuremode.Thereismuchstrongbindingstre
