摘要土司制度是元、明、清王朝主要实行于西南少数民族地区的特殊管理政策。土司制度的研究系民族学研究的重要领域。四川是元、明、清王朝在西南地区实行土司制度的重要地区之一。本文所研究的邑梅土司与酉阳土司均是渝东南的重要土司。邑梅土司与酉阳土司均是渝东南地区的土家族土司，其中酉阳土司是渝东南地区最大的土司，而秀山是渝东南的组成部分，邑梅土司则是秀山地区四大土司之一。邑梅与酉阳由于历史与环境的特殊性，元、明、清王朝一直在这两地区实行着土司制度。邑梅与酉阳土司自元末先后建立土司以来，各自经历了自身的发展历程。其中，明代的邑梅土司与酉阳土司关系较为复杂，因此，本文以此为切入点，对这两大土司的关系进行探究。明代，邑梅土司与酉阳土司由于地缘、民族成分、周边土司、利益的驱动等因素以及明朝对土司地区实行的“以夷制夷”的政策等影响，使得邑梅土司与酉阳土司之间在政治、经济、文化等方面显现出如下的复杂关系：政治上，他们因为自身利益的需求，地理位置相邻，周边大土司的牵制以及强大的杨氏家族力量等原因，表现出了承袭之争、联婚之争，但却以土地之争作为他们冲突的焦点；经济上，他们因为邑梅土司处于交通要冲、民族构成相似等原因，表现出了互相流通的一面，主要体现在产品的流通等方面；文化上，由于中央王朝对土司区文化的控制、民族构成相似以及文化自身的价值等原因，呈现出他们之间相互学习与交流的一面，具体表现为邑梅土司向酉阳土司学习儒学，而酉阳土司又受到了邑梅土司地区花灯艺术等文化的影响。总之，明代邑梅土司与酉阳土司之间的关系虽有交往与互惠等方面，但是由于他们各自的实力不同，利益不一致等原因，使得冲突成为了他们之间关系的主线。主题词：明代，邑梅土司，酉阳土司ABSTRACTThechieftainSystemisaspecialmanagementpoliciesmainlywhichmainlyimplementedinthesouthwestminorityareasinYuan,MingandQingDynasty.TheresearchofthechieftainsystemisanimportantareasofEthnicStudies.SichuanisoneoftheimportantregionofthesouthwesternimplementedthechieftainsysteminYuan,MingandQingDynasty.YimeiandYouyangchieftainwhichstudiedinthispaperaretheimportantchieftainoftheSoutheastChongqing.YimeiandYouyangaretheTujiachieftaininsoutheasternChongqing,YouyangchieftainisthelargestchieftaininsoutheasternChongqing,XiushanisoneofthepartinsoutheastChongqing,YimeichieftainisoneofthefourchieftaininXiushan.YimeichieftainandYouyangchieftainduetothespecialnatureofhistoryandtheenvironment,Yuan,MingandQingdynastyhasbeenimplementedthechieftainsysteminthesetwoareas.YimeichieftainandYouyangchieftainhasestablishedthechieftainsystemsincetheendoftheYuan,throughthecourseoftheirowndevelopment.TherelationshipofYimeichieftainandYouyangchieftainismorecomplexinMingDynasty,sothisarticleasastartingpointtoexploretherelationshipofthesetwochieftain.InMingDynasty,YimeichieftainandYouyangchieftainduetothegeographical,ethniccomposition,thesurroundingchieftain,theinterestsofthedriverandotherfactors,andtheMingDynastytoimplementthepolicyofrestrictonchieftainareas,sobetweentheYimeichieftainandYouya
