AbstractArchitecturedepartmenthallsareimportantsupporterofarchitecturaleducation,asacontainerofarchitecturaleducation,itsinnerspaceischangingwitharchitecturaleducationimproving,designphilosophyrenewingandtechnologicalprogressofbuilding.Innerspaceofarchitecturedepartmenthallscontainsthefunctionsofnotonlyteaching,working,restandcommunicationsofarchitecturedepartment,butalsoinspiringthedesignofstudentsandshowingtheelegantofthedepartment.Asthedemandofarchitecturaltalentsrise,thearchitecturaleducationhasbeengivenmoreattentions.Thestandardsofarchitecturedepartmenthallshavebeenhigher.Manydocumentsbecomeveryconcernedaboutthistopic,andalotofproblemsthatshouldbesolvedurgentlyhavebeenfound.Focusingonthestudyofarchitecturedepartmenthalls’innerspace,thethesisconstructedadetailedframeworktoimprovethetheoryandmethodinthedesignofinnerspaceofarchitecturedepartmenthalls.Thispaperstartswiththeparsingofthecharacteristicoftheinnerspaceofarchitecturedepartmenthalls.Theinnerspaceisfurtherseparatedintoteachingspaceandcommunicationspace,introducingtheeachindividualcharacteristicwiththeanalysisofinfluentialdesigningfactors.Thedesigningprincipleisproposedthereafter.Onthisbasis,analysisofteachingspaceandcommunicationspaceisconductedwithvariousexamples.Thedesignofteachingspace,seriesconnection,centralizedconnectionandmodularconnectionisproposed.Thecreationofprofessionalclassroomisdiscussedintermsoftype,scale,physicalenvironmentandspaceinfrastructure.Thethreecommunalteachingspaceofreadingroom,buildinglaboratory,communalclassroomissummarized.Forthedesignofcommunicationspace,fourstylesofpenetrating,dropping,dynamicandcrisscrossingaredescribedtorenderpositiveeffecttothecommunication.Departmentalculturepass-down,artisticcharacterpresentationandcontemporarystylecreationareproposedtoformpleasantatmosphere.Displayarrangement,structuralcraftsmanshipaswellasfurnishinganddecorationarespecifiedindetailstoimprovethecommunicationspaceinadvance.Employingliteraturereviewplusinductionanddeductionmethods,ontheba
