To say the least of it, the peoples livelihood journalism is the outcome of the reforms and opening policy of China. It keeps a watchful eye on the life of the public. Policy and technology play an important role In the development process of peoples livelihood journalism. In this thesis, I will concern about the background of the news of the civil life, the defination, and the development tendency. The most important part in this thesis is talking about the news information and the selection of a subject. Although the news of the civil life is accepted broadly by the public, there are some problems existing in it. We have to think about how to reform and innovate. According to the policy and guidelines of China, I will offer some proposals about the ways of innovation.
