AbstractWith the development of network technology, online learning community has received more and more attention of experts from the domestic and foreign in many fields. Graduate students, as a special group in the society, have a high-level of knowledge, mental maturity, learning motivation at learning and so on. The research of online learning community among graduate students will be helpful for students to learn how to make full use of the internet resources and how to share knowledge to improve themselves, which will then contribute to the quality of the higher education. Knowledge management, as a advanced concept and method, is used to analyze and discuss online learning community among graduate students.First, some domestic and international relevant assessment tools of the item are applied and some ideas of teachers and graduate students adopted to draw up a forecast questionnaire including 50 items. A formal questionnaire, including six dimensions and 28 items, is fixed from the result of the analysis of the 253 valid forecast questionnaires. The result of the formal questionnaire shows that graduate students are above the average in the cultivation of network learning community, in which the ability to knowledge management get the highest scores while innovation lowest. Meanwhile, there are differences in the six dimensions as graduate students are different in gender, major, grade, age, hometown, the experience of surfing the net.Secondly, according to the knowledge management and online learning community, a model of cultivating network learning community is constructed ,which is based on the investigation of the current situation and the characteristics of the graduate students in learning. This model contains mostly three sections including cultivating elements, cultivating level and its corresponding dimensions, cultivating support (knowledge management).
