The paper takes 2113 protected working face in the shortdistance coal seams as an example. The technique of combining ventilation adjusting with effective drainage system, changing the gas flow direction of w orking face and adjacent seam, is applied in the 2113 working face, which prevents gas pouring into the working face, increases gas drainage and reduces the gas concentration of return airw ay. The results show that the technique has a good outcome for gas control.
