Geological Research Capacity and Experience Firstly, introducing the successful experiences of the exploration of hiding reservoirs in Liaohe West Slope, which is helpful for understanding the formation conditions, reservoir types, reservoir regularity and distribution regularity of nontectonic trap reservoirs of rift basins; secondly, demonstrating the professional technologies we applied in service and related to the project, which include delicate interpretation of structures, strata sequence stratigraphy analyses, seismic sedimentology study, seismic reservoir inversion and oil gas examination; and thirdly, raising the major technical measures for the study and the combined geophysics technologies to be used based on the requirements of the bid documents and the reference of the exploration experience of nontectonic traps of rift basins of continental facies on China. 4.1 Successful Experiences of the Exploration of Hiding Reservoirs in Liaohe West Slope 1. General Liaohe West Depression has typical slight slope background of rift basins and its sedimentation strata include Fangshenpao Formation, Member 4, Member 3, Member 12 and Dongying Formation of Palaeogene System and its basement consists of metamorphic rock of Archaeozoic Group and carbonate rock of mid to upper Proterozoic Group, which covers an area of 1350km2, being 52% of the West Depression. The first well, Jin 1, was drilled in 1971, getting small amount of oil gas; Du 4 and Du 7 were drilled in 1975, achieving high industrial oil flow and finding Huanxiling Oilfield and Shuguang Oilfield; 2 millions of production capacity was established in 1975; the proved reserve by the end of 1989 came up to half of the total reserve of Liaohe Oilfield and at that time the accumulative proved reserve was about 1.2 billions of tons.
