TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Horizontal ball mill Mill shell: holes for liners bolt according to DIN Standard (250 mm axial pitch, 314 mm radial pitch); no head weldings , the connection head-wall/shell has to be designed according to European construction, the weldings of shell (internal) have to be smoothed (ground). Above points have been discussed during different meetings before contract. The Contractor will give to the Owner the manufacturing drawing of the mill shell for approval. Inlet system: device with flow of material (chute) separated from airflow in order to allow mill internal ventilation. Mill ventilation: design air flow speed (net) 1,5 m/s at 30 % ball charge filling degree; inlet and outlet system, central opening of diaphragms have to be designed for air speed respectively of max 25 m/s (inlet and outlet), 12 m/s (central openings of diaphragms). Mill shell liners: lifting design for first compartment (bolted type), classifying design for second compartment (bolted or semi-bolted), liners have to be installed with a layer of hard rubber or clingerit to avoid direct contact between liner and shell. Mill ratio L/D must be from 3 to max 3,3 referred to useful dimensions; this request has the aim to avoid the risk of coating due to over-grinding of limestone Ball charge filling degree: operating 28%, design 30% (for mechanical design of the mill, for inlet chute and diaphragms central opening design). Transports of the circuit: have to be designed for maximum capacity of the mill, referred to the installed power. Mill discharge: equipped with an airlock system to reduce false air. To avoid some coarse particles (iron or other material) from going into the dynamic separator, a trap between mill outlet and separator inlet feed should be installed. Mill supports: with standard supports (no shoe pads bearings), equipped with lubrication units (low pressure and high pressure), double filters, oil cooling, stand-by pumps, oil heating if necessary.
