Retrospective case series involving a review of surgical records of all surgical eye removal procedures done between January 2010 and January 2013 at Princess Marina Referral Hospital. Information collected included basic demographic data, diagnosis, visual acuity at diagnosis and the eye affected. The etiology responsible was determined from history, clinical examination and investigations as contained in the existing records. The primary clinical indications for eye removal were categorized into infections, trauma, neoplasms, and others. Data were summarized using summary statistics and simple percentages.Results: A total of 728 patient records were reviewed, among which seventy-three (73) underwent surgical eye removal (enucleation, evisceration, and exenteration).
