Methods From March 2015 to March 2014， 84 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus were randomly divided into two groups， the experimental group and the control group， 42 cases in each group. The former was treated with integrated traditional Chinese and Western Medicine （metformin tablet + 1）.And then observe and compare the clinical effect of the 2 groups of patients. Results After treatment， the two groups of patients after treatment FBG， HbA1c， 2hPG index were better than this group of treatment， the difference was significant （P lt; 0.05）; the 2hPG， HbA1c and FBG in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group， the difference was statistically significant （P lt; 0.05）. The effective rate （95.2%） of the patients in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group （81%）， and the difference was statistically significant （P lt; 0.05）. The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group （16.7%）， and the difference was statistically significant （P lt; 0.05）.Conclusion The combination of Chinese and Western medicine in the treatment of type 2 diabetes， the effect is significant， can effectively control blood sugar， and reduce the incidence of adverse reactions， it is worth to
