StudyonCounty-wideLandResourceSustainabilityEvaluation——TakingLangxiCountyforExampleAbstractLandisthematerialbasisforhumantosurviveon.Withtheaccelerationofindustrializationandurbanizationprocess,contradictionbetweengrowingsocialneedsforlandandland’sfinitenesstogetherwithirreversibilityhasbeenexposedgradually.Asakindofscarceandnon-renewableelement,landresourcehasbeenanimportantconstraintforeconomicalandsocialdevelopment.Ifusedsustainably,landwoulddevelopedintoanimportantguaranteeforregionalsustainabledevelopment.Currently,researchesonsustainablelanduseevaluationhasdevelopedrapidlyandtheoreticalframeworkofitsevaluationsystemhasalreadybeencontructedpreliminarily.Whilescholareshavepartlyreachedageneralconsensusonsustainablelanduseevaluation,specificevaluationindicatorsandevaluationmethodsarestillattheexploratorystage,andfewstudiesattempttoapplyBPneuralnetworkmodeltoCounty-widelandresourcesustainabilityevaluation.LocatedatthejunctionofAnhui,JiangsuandZhejiangprovinces,LangxiCountyhasthetypicalfeatureofsouthernmountainofAnhuiProvince.TwelveFiveisthekeyperiodtopromote“Wanjiang”demonstrationareaconstruction,tobuildamoderatelyprosperoussocietyforLangxi,toacceleratethetransformationofeconomicdevelopmentmodeandtoachievesuccessfuldevelopmentofLangxilow-lyinglandbyleapsandbounds.Whiletoourconcern,LangxiCountyisfacedwiththedoublestressesofacceleratingbothdevelopmentandeconomytransformationbecauseofitsweakeconomyamount,deterioratinglandecologicalenvironment,decreasingcultivatedlandquality,severestressofresourcesandenvironmentalconstraints.Onthisbase,thepapertriestohaveanempiricalresearchonLangxiCountytostudylandusestatusanditslimitingfactors.Furtherly,drivingfactorsofLangxi’slandresourcechangeinsustainableusewillbethoughtover.Atlast,wewillhaveanassessmentonlandresource’ssustainabilityfrom1996-2010ofIIILangxiCountybymeansofBPneuralnetworkmodel,expectingtoputforwardsomerelatedsuggestions.Ourresultswillhaveimportanttheoreticalandpracticalsignificanceonsustainablelanduse,farmlandprote
