要 改革开放以来，我国经济快速发展，无论从整体上还是从局部来看经济建设 都取得了巨大成就。但在经济快速发展的同时，东部经济发展水平较高，中部次 之，西部最低的区域经济发展差异的格局不但没有缩小反而还有所扩大。与此同 时外商直接投资大量流入，自 1993 年起我国是引进外商直接投资最多的发展中 国家， 2002 年我国引进的外商直接投资首次超过美国，成为是世界上引进外商 直接投资最多的国家。外商直接投资的大量流入但在各地区的分布不均衡的格 局，这种不平衡的格局与区域经济发展差异相似，即自东向西递减的分布格局。 二者的分布格局相似，那么，二者是否存在某种关系。这正是本文要论述的中心 问题。外商直接投资作为资金、集管理和技术于一体的特殊的资本，不仅为弥补 了发展中国家储蓄和外汇缺口，还带来了先进的管理经验和技术，促进了发展中 国家经济的发展，这已是不争的事实。因此，研究外商直接投资对我国区域经济 发展差异的影响，通过利用外商直接投资在我国的区域分布来促进我国区域经济 协调发展具有重要理论和现实的意义。 本文首先对我国区域经济发展状况和外商直接投资在各区域的分布状况进 行分析，得出二者都具有东高西低的格局特征的结论。然后，在假设外商直接投 资区域分布不均衡是导致改革开放以来我国区域经济发展差异的重要因素的基 础上，通过实证分析外商直接投资区域分布不均衡对区域经济发展差异的影响， 并得出这样的结论：FDI 分布不均衡加剧了我国地区间经济发展的不平衡，并且 东部地区与西部地区经济增长差异的 90.66%，东部地区与中部地区经济增长差 异的 89.66%，中部地区与西部地区经济增长差异的 55.18%都是由于 FDI 的分布 不均衡造成的。最后，依据外商直接投资区位选择理论和外商直接投资技术外溢 理论，从引进和有效利用外商直接投资的角度出发，提出了促进区域经济协调发 展对策建议。 关键词：区域经济差异，FDI，分布不均衡，协调发展 I Abst r act Since the reform and open policy, our country economy has developed fast. regardless of from partial and overall the economic development has achieved the great achievement.
