METHODS ： A comprehensive literature search was conducted for all randomized control trials(RCTs) between 1996 and 2014,using PUBMED,Cochrane Library ELSEVIER, CBM, CNKI, VIP with the keyword “Stress Urinary Incontinence;Tension- free Vaginal Tape-obturator;Tension-free Vaginal Tape- Secur;prospective study” to compare two surgical database about the complication rate of female stress urinary incontinence with them. Methodology to identify randomized controlled clinical trials with language restriction, Chinese and English.Then assess papers for eligibility and methodological quality .Meta-analysis was performed with RevMan software 5.1. RESULTS ： A total of 696 females in 7 RCTs were included.Meta-analysis showed that no statistical differences existed in the rate of postoperative urinary retention、de novo urgency、tape eosion/mesh exposure between TVT-O and TVT-S(P＞0．05).But the rate of one year objective cure 、 2-3 year objective and 2-3 year subject cure were statistically significant(P 0．05). CONCLUSION ： The evidence indicates that TVT-O is an effective treatment for stress urinary incontinence with higher objective and subject cure rate and no significant difference among postoperative tape erosion/exposure、urinary retention and de novo urgency compared with TVT-S.
