Abstract The picking strategy and information is an important factor affecting the warehouse operation efficiency and quality. Design reasonable picking strategy and picking path, not only can improve warehouse work efficiency, but also can effectively reduce logistics cost. Extensive application of modern information technology in the logistics industry, can creating good conditions for warehouse management informatization, intelligent, automation, standardization. Application of warehouse management system (WMS) can effectively improving the efficiency of the warehouse management, reducing the cost of warehouse, improving service quality of supply chain, enhancing the market competitiveness of enterprises. This dissertation is focused upon the production of the large enterprise．Use the method of combining Research and mathematical models. Make The Study on improvement of S company Semi-finished products warehouse picking strategy and warehouse management system. The total length of the shortest path as the target function and packing equipment capacity as constraint condition to batch all of the picking lists，and then via C-W to get the solution．The personnel efficiency was analyzed after optimization according to the factors of the economics principle the law of diminishing marginal utility .And discuss what measures can improve performance. In the route of order picking optimization aspect，this thesis based on the batching model，referenced TSP, made the secondary optimization to the picking route. After the order picking optimization, management and control all warehouse operation process by WMS. Compare the key performance of the warehouse after introduced WMS system.
