I I Abstract This thesis is an interpreting report on ―China’s manufacturing service upgrade‖ from Dialogue. Dialogue invited Song Zhiping and other experts to share their views on how to transform manufacture industry into the manufacture service industry. Due to the special features of this episode of Dialogue, the interpreter needs to be fully prepared for the technical terms in order to guarantee the smoothness of the entire program. In addition, the interpreter needs to adopt various interpreting strategies because different speakers in the program have their own language styles and the program is informative and lyrical. The interpreting process is guided by Interpretive Theory, which requires the interpreter to forget about the form of language but focus on the meaning.
