The book, from the perspective of political economy, reveals the basic values of American education policy, analyzes the existing and prospective problems faced by American higher education, and points out the nature and direction of education policy reform in the future. It is an eye-opening and critical read for anyone with vast interest in the future of higher education, including policy makers, administrators, teachers, students and scholars of economics and public policy.
