华中科技大学硕士学华中科技大学硕士学位论文 II II Abstract Financial development has promoted Chinas foreign trade, Domestic financial development is a special and important part for supporting foreign trade after China joined WTO. To accomplish the export structure optimizing strategy, large scale of funds which are multi-links and high venture should be in place, so financial development is indispensable for export structure optimization. this paper is aim to find how much has financial development influenced export structure in Chinas manufacturing industry and what role played by FDI and vertical specialization in this case. Firstly I have systematically listed the formerly documents of the research for the relationship between financial development and export structure optimization. I theoretically elaborate the conception and function of financial development, and employ the framework for explaining the relationship between financial and trade by classical trade model and monopolistic competition trade model. Based on the present condition of Chinas finance and trade, I set a econometric model and using cross-industrial panel data from 2001~ 2011 to empirical analysis. The empirical result shows that financial development has promoted export structure optimization in Chinas manufacturing industry. The vertical specialization in manufacturing industry did not intensify the financial constraint to export structure. FDI in manufacturing industry can be a substitute for domestic financial support. The level of marketization in Chinas financial system must be raised more higher and the government should use discriminate supporting policy and other financial to improve export structure optimization in Chinas manufacturing industry.
