The chapter 3 is the part of investigation and case analyses. By the means of field survey and questionnaire investigation in Chongqing residential communties, this thesis has analysed the existing problems of the sports facilities in our countries in four aspects, which are scale and quantity, planning and layout, development and administration and the demands of the residents. And based on the works done above, it predicates the tendancy of its development in the future. The chapter 4 is the strageties of development and planning. First, it starts from the factors which influnence the development the sports facilities, and then proposes four strategies as follows: heightening its quality and quantity, perfecting its scale and layout, constructing service network, and sustainable development. And then it explores the research into the principles and strategies , scale and classification and the radius for service of the layout planning for those sports facilities The chapter 5 is the part of the strategies of architect design for such facilities.First, it analyses the systematic composition of the outdoor sports ground, and explain its the design strategies. And then it further this topic from the aspects of layout and location, the function arrangment, its site design and the mould of its interspace. The chapter 6 is the part of epilogue. It explains the research achievements of this thesis, and constructs a basic theorotical frame of the planning and design of the sports facilities for residential community in cities.
