华 华 中 科 技 大 学 硕 士 学 位 论 文 II II Abstract There is a growing awareness in academic and practical circle that improving individual creative performance can contribute a lot to organization innovation and making full use of employee’s creative potential is very crucial for organization management. Because individual at different level can display different level of creativity, exploring the relationship between individual status and creative performance, mediation mechanism and moderation condition is becoming an essential research topic. So in this context this study tries to make a clear distinction between the role of formal status and informal status by integrating direct relationships between formal status, informal status and individual creative performance, by contrasting the different mediating role between relationships of individual formal status, informal status and creative performance. This thesis is composed of seven chapters. Chapter 1, the Introduction, mainly tells us something about research background, framework and value and so on. Chapter 2 is Literature Review. After sorting with some extant studies in a particular vein, which are relevant to the topic of direct relationships between individual status and creative performance, their mediation mechanisms and mediation mechanisms, we will give some comments in this chapter. Chapter 3, Theory and Hypothesis, presents the process of hypothesis reasoning in theory. Chapter 4 is Study design and Data Collection. In this chapter, we will introduce the process of conducting our field study, variable measuring, data purring and the analysis of reliability and validity. Chapter 5 is about Data analysis and Results. A data analysis from the sample of 211 employees in various industries shows that: (1) There is a curvilinear or U-shape relationship between formal status (e.g., hierarchical level or position) in the organization and individual creative performance; (2) Informal status (e.g., personal influence
