However, it is necessary for public libraries to assess websites for children to ensure that they can be effectively used by children. There are two objectives for this study: 1) gathering website assessment indicators of specialists and scholars in different fields, discussing comments of parents on importance of website assessment indicators and collecting their suggestions on the functions and service contents of websites for children; 2) conducting survey on domestic public libraries websites in Chinese for children to understand the situation of current ’ websites with analysis and comparison on their services.
