哈尔滨工业大学工学硕士学位论文 哈尔滨工业大学工学硕士学位论文 - - II - Abstract With the acceleration of the urbanization process in China, urban land area and population is increasing, demand for urban road traffic is also increased sharply, so the service level of urban roads is lower and lower. To address this situation, many cities hope to alleviate the worsening traffic congestion through the construction of the expressway system. Due to higher technical standards of the highway, substantial capital investment and a large amount of demolition is required, especially in the urban core area, which have a great impact on the surrounding area. So, the expressway constracted in many cities have not met the construction standards. Although this expressway of lower standards played a very good effect to alleviate urban congestion problems, there are many problems for the lacking of systematic study. In this paper, the concept of urban high speed arterial is proposed, which is composed by expressway and communicating arterial road. The function, technology standard, reasonable scale, layout method of high speed arterial is systematically studied, which is of great significance for the reasonable planning of urban road of our country. The meaning and the scope and components of high speed arterial are cleared, so the relationship between high speed arterial and each grade road is clarified. On the basis of functional orientation of the high speed arterial, trip distance services and traffic volume services of high speed arterial is researched quantitatively. Sub-level design speed is identified based on the functional requirements of high speed arterial. On this basis, design specifications of plane alignment and profile alignment, cross-sectional layout, intersection type selection and minimum spacing of intersections of high speed arterial is researched targeted.
