The fac tors were analyzed on the re spon se tim e, the battery conversion and stab ility of the fuel cell. The m icrob ial fuel cell wa s app lied to BOD online mon itoring for its fa st re spon se, good stab ility and ea sy to op eration. The impor tan t d irection of re search in the field wa s to bu ild low co st, h ighpowered BOD sen sor of m icrob ial fuel cell and device of BOD online detection.
