Study on the permeability coefficient of ammonia

Abstract: The permeability coefficient (p ) of ammonia through hollow fiber supported liquid membrane
was determined and the factors affectingp valuewere studied. It was showed that the permeability coeffi
cient increasedwith theraising of the content of carrying agent and pHvalue in thefeed. Thepermeability
coefficient had amaximum value as the variation of pH value in back extract liquid. Of the three mem
brane solvents, thep value using n- hexylmethanewas higher than those using decanal and kerosene.
