Logarithmic spiral line is applied to traditional spiral bevel gear, so the new gears can be found, called the logarithmic spiral bevel gear. It enables that the angle of the spiral line on the teeth are consistent, thus the stability of the gear mesh, bearing capacity, and so forth can get further improved. The whole modern industry is developing, more and more disciplines and technology methods are integrated into the gear industry, and promote the industry to have a comprehensive development. Correlation detection methods of the gear are also developed from the observation of the contact region prints to rely on photoelectric combined modern detector. These equipments can have a detection and evaluation of structure and precision and they will adapt to the modern industrial development. Now many equipments in China are mainly provided from foreign well-known complains. Our companies are relative largely by the products and technologies of foreign companies, so we have to use more spending to buy their products. At the same time, advanced technology was completely blocked, holding the development of spiral bevel gear production measurement technology in China. Although Chinese companies have these equipments, they may not have a capacity to finish the detection of the logarithmic spiral bevel gear. So, it is necessary to carry out a study on the detection method of logarithmic spiral bevel gear, to master the core technology of processing and testing of complex gears. It will help our domestic gear manufacturing industry to improve its strength and get rid of dependence on foreign technology.
