A Research on the Bilingual Cognition of Chinese Media English Abstract ABSTRACT】 The present paper puts forward communicative and cognitive environment,as well as psychological knowledge and need of communication for English learners in China,by studying the bilingual features of Chinese media English, and integrating cognitive environment and cognitive schema. It attempts to discover imaginary and realistic bilingual environments of Chinese media English, and points out a study model of input and output of Chinese media English, namely, the exchange between Chinese and English in mind and the output of the second language. According to the view of cognitive study and the status quo of English learners in China,the paper discusses the features of the bilingual cognitive environment of the Chinese media English,and tries to discover its theoretical and application value in teaching. It analyzes Chinese English learners’ communicative context and need of output,and integrates multi-modal media English and what learners learned in class and the need of communicating. Because media English is realistic and spontaneous,it can help strengthen the frequency of the input and output of English on students mentally represented subjects such as the two sessions at the beginning of this year,the world economic development,anti-flood in summer, traditional holidays, environmentally friendly and low carbon dioxide, and so on. The focus and cluster of the media can easily attract learners’ interest, which can help to improve learners’ efficiency. The point of this paper is to realize the correspondence of cognitive environment and the need of communicating with the help of Chinese media English in teaching and learning.
