Discussion on the dominant functional organization Model of urban building complex Specialty： Architecture Design and Theory Name： Yang Taotao Instructor： Prof. Yao Hui ABSTRACT At the beginning of this century, with the economic highly developed and urbanization process accelerated, the city emerges some questions such as large population concentration and urban land tension. Urban building complex, a kind of building type, which gives a full play of the functional linkage value chain effect and makes a highly intensive utilization of social resources,can be regarded as an effective solution for the problems. During the process of design practice, diverse market demands make the urban building complex present different functional organization model, we often regard them simply as complex and lake of certain macroscopic understanding and microcosmic research for different functional organization model. Facing a lot of urban complex projects in the future, the synpaper research of different patterns is particularly important. Based on the background of urbanization and present research situation of urban building complex, the paper raises the concept of leading functional organization model, which is also included in the research framework of urban building complex types, discusses the characteristics of sub function in the urban building complex; the characteristics of different functional organization pattern; the selective combination of function; function layout and organization.
