Abstract The new generation of migrant workers is the main part of Chinas floating population and the result of Chinas new urbanization. They are active in the various walks of life, and have become a vital force supporting the urban development. Their working motivations, behavioral patterns and aspirations for future have been quite different with the old generation of migrant workers. Affected by the market-oriented economy, their values, with a wide range of diversification, have gone through various cultures and thoughts in the forming process. Thus, their values have distinctive characteristics of the times. Their values are not only an important research topic of ideological and political education, but also an essential guidance to help them to seek and realize their aspirations, and to meet the demand of their development. The urbanization progresses and changes in social development, however, have led to the changes in their thoughts, views and lifestyles. Their values show many new perspectives, bringing new conflicts. Values and social transformation can interact which is affecting the realization of social transformation and transition. Explore the roots of their value conflicts and propose a guidance to help them form their value system. Bring socialist core values into play to provide references for migrant workers to integrate into the spiritual home identified by social mainstream value and into the city. It is also the theoretical foundation of improving the pace and quality of Chinas urbanization. Through questionnaires, on-the-spot investigation, case interviews and other researching methods after having referred to a large number of official investigation reports, documents as well as the statistics I have obtained, the status quo and development of the new generation of migrant workers is comprehensively analyzed， exceeding the research limitation only from the perspective of material system, with intensive expounding on the value
