I I ABSTRACT Fram es were firs t in tro d u c e d in 1952 b y D u ffin and Schaeffer. Subsequently, w ith th e developm ent o f fram es and th e ir a p p lic a tio n s in signal and im age processing, th e th e o ry o f fram e has been u n d e r trem endou s g ro w th in th e past thre e decades. Today, fram es have been w id e ly used in im age processing, signal processing, d a ta com pression and m any o th e r fields. In 2006, Professor W enchang Sun in tro d u c e d generalized fram es in a H ilb e rt space, showed th a t generalized fram es were n a tu ra l generaliza tions o f fram es. In th is thesis, we w ill discuss some p ro p e rtie s o f generalized fram es. T he thesis consists o f fo u r chapters. C h a p te r 1 and cha p te r 2 give in tro d u c tio n o f th is thesis and basic know ledge to be used th ro u g h o u t th e thesis, respectively. C h a p te r 3 investigates th e p ro p e rtie s o f analysis op e ra to r, pre-fram e o p e ra to r and fram e o p e ra to r fo r generalized fram e w h ic h is re s tric te d in some in d e x set. F in a l chapter is th e m a in w o rk o f th e thesis.
