Abstract The industrialization and urbanization, which is the only way leading to the modern, is a concrete manifestation of the regional socio-economic development. As the western province of Gansu ,its levels of industrialization and urbanization greatly after the national average.To carry out a new type of industrialization and urbanization interactive relationship not only has important theoretical significance and actively promote the process of industrialization and urbanization, industrialization and urbanization positive interaction, also has important practical significance. This article explore the coupling mechanism between urbanization and new industrialization on the basis of a large number of domestic and foreign research results.
