The new interests pattern has not fully formed, urban and rural, regional, economic and the unbalance phenomenon of social development are Increasingly prominent day by day, the problems on education, health care, housing, employment, safety production which are related to the interests of public are more outstanding, the gap of income distrib ution cause various social questions, also the social group incidents frequently happen. In this critical period with development and challenge, under the premise of keeping the rapid of economic development and ensure the stab ility of social, how to avoid falling into the risk of medium income trap, dealing with the social contradictions which appear in the process of construct the harmonious society, putting forward the institutional arrangements and paths to meeting the need of our country. It’s a great, realistic challenges and tests, also is a worthy of discussion and study. This paper adopts the research method of literature reading, questionnaire survey, depth interview and so on, based on the analysis of the mechanism o f social contradictions, the current situation , characteristics and evolution trend of social contradictions in China, and analysis the cause of social contradictions, with the case sample of questionnaire survey, discussing the cognitive state about the social contradictions and social management, mining the profound reason on social contradictions, and on this basis to exploring the coordinating path of social contradictions, finding out measures and long-term mechanism to fitting the national conditions of China. This paper combines the theoretical with demonstration closely, in favour of forming the objective understanding on the problem of social contradiction for socialism with Chinese characteristics, and enriching the research
