ABSTRACT
The core of the new curriculum iS the transformation of learning methods.As one of the three essential learning methods recommended by New Standard, cooperative learning has gradually been accepted by the majority of teachers.
In this way,teachers have changed from a single instructor to a director,
participant,and cooperator of the classroom teaching and learning,while students have become the masters of their studies,who can now decide how to lcam and what they expect to learn.Cooperation iS the mainstream of the future society,cooperative learning can help the students to develop their confidence,creativity,and improve their awareness of cooperation.Since cooperative learning can arouse students’enthusiasm to their studies and take full advantage of the human resources in art classroom activities,it plays a special role and has an important status in today’S art teaching.Therefore it
promotes US teachers to have a clearer picture of teaching,lightens both
teachers’and students’burden,enhances the students’participating and improves the teaching effects.This-article begins with the analysis of the New Junior Art Course Standard,then combineds the present art teaching situation ofjunior schools with the objective reality SO as to point out its characters and features,which are good for cooperative learning.Next,the article introduces the basic concept of the new curriculum,and clearly shows the signification and necessity of cooperative learning.It then carefully elaborates the stages of middle school arts CO—operative learning,methods,processes,and cooperative learning strategies.Finally,the article ends up with teaching practice to show that we should promote cooperative leaming and the author expect to leam from all the art teachers who are devoting themselves to the educational reform and exchange experience from each other.
