哈尔滨 哈尔滨工业大学工学硕士学位论文 – – II – Abstract Frequency stability is a token of working capability with which the signal keeps its frequency stable. By measuring it we can evaluate whether a system can stay at a steady frequency or not. The way to evaluate it is to calculate its Allan variance with no spacing, no interrupt at a section of time. The high speed and equal-precision measurement of frequency using FPGA does not only break through the astriction by measuring in parts,which is used in the direct measuring method, but also keeps a high-precision in whole frequency measuring section. Peripheral Component Interconnect bus(PCI) is an interface using to intercon- nect CPU, memory, peripheral control device and extension card. Because the PCI bus has many advantages such as high speed, high reliability, low cost, good compatibility, it has taken a dominant position of all computer bus standards. The interface design following PCI Specification has become the best choice of data acquisition projects. It has advantages such as simplified circuits, easy to optimize and low-disturbance, but it is hard to design independently. In this thesis an equal-precision measuring card design scheme for Allan vari- ance calculation and frequency stability evaluation is proposed.A PCI module strictly following PCI specification is manufactured. All circuits are integrated in a primary chip formed of FPGA. Besides meeting requirements,the design also optimizes log- ics, reduces delays and the disturbances to get high integration rate, high speed and high reliability. The card has been applied to evaluate frequency stability of transverse Zeeman laser. The Win32 Driver Model(WDM) is the most common driver type using in cur- rent operating systems. WDM is easy to fit variable plantforms and its object-based processing model extremely suits the development of API programme and implement of the man-computer interface at all. In this design, the card’s status is controlled by programs in PC.
