Analysis of the Teaching Material
This period is from Unit7 of Go for it. This unit is mainly about weather. This period (1a—1c) is the first period. It focuses on the speaking and listening. The students will learn to describe the weather and what they are doing.
Teaching Aims(Knowledge, Ability and Moral)
Aims of Basic Knowledge:
Rain; windy; cloudy; sunny, snow, and weather. Moscow; Toronto; Boston.
How’s the weather? It’s sunny.
How’s the weather in Boston? It’s windy
Aims of Abilities:
To use the listening skill to get the main ideas of the dialogue and find out the specific details of different weather in different places. Try to describe the weather with the new words in the lesson.
Aims of Emotion: Educate the students to care about the weather.
Analysis of Learners
·Students are from Class2, Grade 7and they have some ability of speaking, reading, listening and writing.
·Students have learned the p[resent progressive tense in Unit6.
·Students have learned the dialogues on the phone.

Learning Methods: Self-taught and discussion in pairs and groups.

2. Use the listening skills to get the main ideas and specific details of the dialogue.

Try to describe the weather in different places by using it is snowy/rainy/windy/cloudy and so on.
