Research Research and Development of Double Row Digging Machine for Radish Author：Zhou Guolong Major：Agricultural Mechanization Engineering Supervisor：Zhang Jinguo Abstract The manufacturing technologies of foreign harvesters for tuber vegetables being mature increasingly,the researches on execution system and power control system alSO reach a relatively high level．However，the development of China’S harvesters for tuber vegetables grows slowly and there exist a lot of problems to be solved． Although the growing environments，planting patterns and planting soil types of tuber vegetables are different，the basic functions to be realized and the working principtes of harvesters for tuber vegetables are similar．On the basis of the design principles of harvesters for tuber vegetables in China，combined with foreign advanced technologies，a kind of turnip harvester was designed． In Zhang bei County，Zhangjiakou area，turnips are mainly harvested by manual throughout the overall harvesting process．On the premise of taking local resources， farmers，requirements and specific environments where various machines will be operated into consideration，a twin—row dig．type turnip harvester was designed．The harvester possesses advantages of strong adaptability,low manufacturing cost and easy operation．And the machine can finish three basic functions of digging out turnips，separating turnips from soil and windrowing turnips at a time． This paper makes a principle analysis， kinetic analysis，parameter analysis and an optimizing according to physical characteristics of soil and mechanical characteristics of radish-digging machine and creates an expression of mathematical model of traction，then makes an analysis of key parameter,angle of entering the soil， walking speed of radish．digging machine，the length of shove and the depth of digging．and it concludes that the optimal parameters are as follows：250dip angle of digging level，the length of shovel is 1 08mm，the width of the shovel is 200mm． F
