The The Usage ofAuspicious Symbol in Traditional Painting Huang Wenyang(Structural Engineering) Directed by Zhang Zhiqiang ABSTRACT In Chinese traditional painting，elements symbols have their unique ethnic flavor and implication．The Chinese traditional painting was composed of ink,line and layout．Some other countries also have paintings which composed with simple symbols，but they all turned to symbols that with different styles．So the key point to reveal the important spiritual features of traditional Chinese painting is to look for the implication and charming of auspicious symbols． Chinese traditional auspicious design embody profound culture，idea and feelings．Our ancestors create many designs to express their pursuit of happy life．Chinese traditional auspicious design takes traditional myths and stories as its themes，character、beast、bird、 sun、moon、stars and SO on as its main content SO that Chinese traditional auspicious design is pregnant with meaning．Auspicious paRerns，as an important form for Chinese traditional decorative patterns，represent human’S aspiration tO exorcise evil spirits and yeam for a happy life through metaphor,analogy,pun，euphony and symbol，and continue to be used up tonow． There are two main ways that static painting symbols and dynamic symbols including in most Art works．Static painting symbols are considered as pens，papers，ink，lines and scales and other single elements using for screen layout and arrayed structures．Dynamic symbols prefer to the usage with painting skills and painting aesthetics in art works．So when we are painting,we should combined the painting skills and painting elements togetheL understanding the Static painting symbols with Dynamic skills，and understanding the dynamic of creation under static skills．Painting practice is a valuable activity,and art is developed in this kind of process．Compared with western painting，the usage of auspicious symbols is a typical way to recognize Chinese painting,it focus on a thinking tha
