Teaching procedures:
Step1、 Warm-up
(1) Ss sing “Last weekend”. 【设计意图:歌曲活跃课堂气氛,并为接下来的教学作铺垫】
(2) Free talk
(3) Game: The more, the better【设计意图:用两个游戏来复习前几节学过的动词过去式,激发学生的学习热情】
S1: I watched TV.
S2: I watched TV and read a book.
S3: I watched TV, read a book and washed my clothes.
S4: …
(4) Golden eyes
(5) Pair-work【设计意图:两两对话复习已学句型】
A: What did she do last weekend?
B: She ________.
A: Did she __________?
B: Yes, she did./No, she didn’t. She _________.
Step 2、 Presentation
(1) T: show some pictures to teach :fix、fixed、broken、lamp. 【设计意图:为下一环节做铺垫】
(2) T: show a picture and ask: Who is she? Then tell them: She is Mrs Broom. Present another picture and asks: Where does she work? 【设计意图:由服务员的工作引出housekeeper,引出Holiday Hotel】
Ss: She works in the Holiday Hotel.
T: Yes. She’s a housekeeper(管家).
T teaches “housekeeper”. What do you think she did yesterday? Present another three pictures, lead Ss to answer: She cleaned the rooms/cooked the food/made the bed.
(3) T: As we know, Wu Yifan and his family went to the countryside for their holiday. Did they have a good time? We dont know. So, let’s read the following passages to know if they enjoy their stay there.
Ss read the article. T lead to answer: 【设计意图:教师提问学生回答,梳理文章信息,帮助学生理解文章内容】
T: Where did they stay?
S1: They stayed at the Holiday Hotel.
T: What did Wu Yifan think of the hotel? Good, average or bad?
