The paper develops an evaluation system com posed of industrial in- put, industrial output and m arket perform ance, in order to evaluate the competitiveness of regional aviation industry in 21 provinces and m un icipalities by using the factor analysis m ethod. Then the competitiveness of aviation industry in Shaanxi Province is com pared w ith that of the other regions, wh ich specifies the superiority and d isadvantage of aviation industry in Shaanx .i In view of this, the paper puts forward the coun term easures to prom ote aviation industry in Shaanxi Province.
