In this thesis, design a kind of wireless ethernet card which based on CDMA2000 wireless internet technology. It can be connected with computer through the USB interface, meeting the user’s demand of wireless Internet access. This thesis first introduces the course of development of CDMA2000 technology, compares with GPRS, EDGE technology, CDMA2000 technology has become more mature and more extensive network coverage. The wireless ethernet card in this thesis is based on the CDMA2000 1xEV-DO network standard which work in the 800M/1900M two band, meeting the demands of people’s visiting the website, voicing calls, send and receive messages and other needs at any time. Meanwhile ， this thesis introduces the USB interface technology, and comparing the interface of some exist wireless ethernet card at present. Then, this thesis elaborated on the hardware circuit design of the ethernet card, including the hardware features of the circuit, the various functional modules, the interface between the hardware and software and so on. Qualcomms MSM6800A chipset is selected to design the key hardware circuit chip, which achieve wireless ethernet card base band, power management, RF, and other functions. In the design of the software platform, based on QUALCOMM AMSS6800 software platform for the second development of application functions to complete the underlying communications, call processing, voice processing and basic data services, and other functions with the MSM6800 base band management chip and its external circuit.
