II II Abstract Application of Reconstruction With Implant or Latissimus Dorsi Flap for Patients with Breast Cancer Application of Reconstruction With Implant or Latissimus Dorsi Flap for Patients with Breast Cancer Abstract Object: To evaluate the Application Status and value of reconstruction with implant or latissimus dorsi flap for patients with breast cancer. Methods:By collecting the clinical data of reconstruction with implant or latissimus dorsi flap in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University between June 2012 and January 2014 ， retrospective review of 22 cases with the reconstruction.And evaluate the application status of reconstruction for patient with breast cancer. Results: From June 2012 to January 2014,there were 22 cases treatsd with reconstruction with implant or latissimus dorsi flap in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University Breast Surgery. The time both of operation(3.82±0.84h vs 4.45±0.48h) and hospitalization(6.3±2.0d vs 10.8±1.9d) are shorter by using implant compared to latissimus dorsi flap.Of the 8 cases who had undergone reconstruction with implant, one developed local capsule contracture.And in autologous tissue reconstruction,there were 6 cases of seroma, 1 case of local infection，1 case of local necrosis with SLNB false negtive, 2 cases of atrophy,1 case of movement limitation. Conclusion: Reconstruction with implant or latissimus dorsi flap is especially suitable for oriental women with smaller breasts.To make objective cosmetic outcome and patient satisfaction,it is necessary to measure breast volume and choose appropriate implant.And the key of symmetry is using “suspension technique” to shape the submammary fold.Moreover, studies are needed to support sentinel lymph node biopsy(SLNB) before breast reconstruction.
