掌握描述人的外形的句型。
三 、学情分析
初一下学期处于学生英语成绩两极分化的关键时期,教师不仅要讲授知识,还要顾及学生的学习兴趣和课堂教学效果。课堂上教师要合理利用现代信息技术辅助教学,激发学生学习兴趣,将被动学习转化为主动学习。
四、教学过程
Ⅰ. Lead-in
1. Look at the photo and ask Ss questions:
1. How many people are there in the picture?2. Who are they?
3. Can you describe the people in the picture?
Ⅱ. Presentation (Section A 1a)
Learn some new words of describing people.
Let Ss describe themselves.
3. Match the words with the people in the picture. (1a)
4. 1b Listen and fill in the blanks in the picture above. Can you find Amy’s friend.
Listen to the conversation of 1b again and try to find the sentence pattern for asking people’s appearance and the sentences for describing people.
What does he look like? Is he short or tall?
He is really tall.
He has curly hair.
Ⅲ. Practice
Practice like the conversation according to some pictures.
What does he look like? Is he short or tall?
He is really tall.
He has curly hair.
Pairwok : Student A describe one of the students. Student B asks which student A is describing quickly.
IV. Role-play the conversation. (2d)
1. Read the conversation to answer the questions:
Where are Mike and Tony going tonight?
2. Where are they meet?
3. Who is going with them?
4. What does David look like?
2. Role-play the conversation.
V. 3. A guessing game !(插入幻灯片进行描述猜测游戏 ,激发学习兴趣,巩固本节课所学知识)
Show some pictures of famous people on the big screen. One student describes, the other student guesses .
VI. Homework
1. Describe your parents .
2. Find a photo of your favorite star on the internet and write a description.
