(According to the four pictures, with the help of the new words which they learned last class.) The students try to repeat the story together. 3. The teaching of the key sentences and phrases. T: Why could the two men cheat the emperor ? (Underline the key sentence in the story) S: A clever man can surely see the colours of the clothes. T: Yes. Do you know “clever men”? S: Yes, it means the man who is very clever. T: Who is the clever man in the story ? The king? S: No, the boy is the clever man. T: Can the emperor see the clothes ? Who can see it ? S: No one can see it . T: Why do not the people say the truth ? S: Because they don’t want to be the fool. T: So, tell me , who is the fool in the story? S: They are all the fool. But the boy is clever. Step three: Ask questions 1. Read the story by themselves. 2. Try to find the questions in groups. 3. Ask the questions to the other students or the teacher.
