The results showed that the aggregation pheromone attractant N was able to trap both the female and male of the pine sawyer beetles at the same time, and there was a very significant synergistic effect after added the host-plant volatile and bark beetle pheromones into N. The adults of M. alternatus can be trapped through the whole year in Huadu, Guangzhou, and the peak period of trapping is from April to August. This research lays a good foundation for the pheromones attractants, and provides more effective technical means for the control of M. alternatus and pine wood nematode disease.
