III III IV IV Abstract Kazakhstan, as Chinas friendly neighbor, has established friendly relations and cooperation in political, economic, cultural and other fields with China. As Language issues are significant to national development and social stability, the paper mainly focuses on language planning of Kazakhstan established after its founding. This paper employs the literature review, interview and descriptive research method. The paper sorted and summarized the Constitution, the language law, education law, national development program and the important speech delivered by the president, in which representative features were found out. Through interviews with foreign students studying in Kazakhstan, their language usage was studied. This paper is divided into six chapters: the first chapter described the background, significance and research methods of the language planning studies of Kazakhstan. In addition, the related research status quo was analyzed in detail, Chinese and foreign research results were reviewed, and innovation of this paper was proposed. The second chapter gave a introduction of language planning of Kazakhstan established before its founding. The third chapter carried out a detailed analysis of language planning in different areas of Kazakhstan according to the language corpus planning and position planning. The fourth chapter analyzed the characteristics embodied in the language planning. The fifth part analyzed the factors that influenced the language planning. The sixth and seventh chapters were related to enlightenment gained through the study of the language planning of Kazakhstan and a summary of the language planning. It was found in the study that Kazakhstan Government had strengthened national unity and remained social stability by employing language planning.
