Lesson duration: 40mins
Teaching Objectives:
By the end of the lesson, students should be able to:
1. Say in English the new words;
2. Ask “What is … doing?” and answer “He\She is ….” in daily life;
3. Improve their communication abilities and confidence.
Teaching contents:
Vocabulary: climbing, eating, playing, jumping, drinking,sleeping.
Language structure: What is … doing? --- He \She is ….
Sb is doing sth. / They are ding sth.
Teaching aids: ppt, word cards
Type of the lesson: vocabulary, speaking
Teaching procedures:
Step1. Review (10 mins )
Show the students the pictures and read the vocabulary together learned in the last lesson: draw pictures, do kung fu, have dinner, read a book.
T: Wow, it’s a nice day. What’s the weather like today?
S: It’s sunny.
T: Yes, it’s sunny. It’s nice to have our lesson.
T: First, let’s have revision.What’s this? (The teacher show the pictures and the students speak the phrases.)
S: ….
b) Review the language structure learned in the last lesson: What is fido doing? ---It’s . (The teacher read one of the phrases, and all the students ask the teacher by “What are you doing?” The teacher answers.)

Step2. Presention (15 mins )
Show the new pictures and new phrases ( climbing, eating, playing, jumping, ,sleeping);
T: Now I will act and you guess what I do, understand?
S: Yes.
T: (act climbing) Come on, ask me “What are you doing?”
S: What are you doing?
T: You guess.
S: Students guess.
T: Yes, I am climbing. Ask me again.
S: What are you doing?
T: I am jumping.
