AbstractWuzhou Abstract Wuzhou city in Guan鲁d province，which is called“mountain and water city”．is an ancient city located in the south ofthe Five IUdges in China witll over two thousand years of history．For the long history and unique environment,the style and features ofthe city is rich in strikingly spatial characteristic and regional human culture．Under the policy of Western Development,programs such as Three--Hundred--program and the Three·-Year-Large·-Change program are initiated in addition，the infrastructure in the city is being implemented．In the large—scale city rebuilding and environment rehabilitation，more emphasis is put on the ‘‘mountain and water city’feature as an waterfront city,and on guide and control the design of modem construction to improve the environment．To shape one integrated mass of the city prevention project into the city landscape is concerned and to be solved in this paper． On the basis of the large—scaled city development reformation and environment construction of wuzhou，a city of Guangxi province，this paper mainly focused on the coordination between city flood prevention project and its environment，thus raised ten greatest principles on which the city prevention project and the its environment Can be developed in a harmonious way．Started from the wuzhou’S special landform，terrain and the characteristics of current flood control works，I adopted different alternatives to minimize or weaken the landscape destroying problems caused by flood control engineering and makes the flood control works more commercial and mole beautiful．With them combined with aim of city’S environmental development and civilization of ancient and modem times，mey not only full play to the comprehensive function of controlling flood，but also spotlight the special features of riverside cities and reflect the cultural characteristics of xijiang river valley．Till now the flood control works of the river’S east and west part has been completed．They have experienced
