ABSTRACTPolyurethane ABSTRACT Polyurethane is kind of important polymer material that has wide application foams，elastomers，adhesives，and coatings．The continuous reduction in and the control of volatile organic compound emissions motivate the development of polyurethanes dispersed in water．Aqueous polyurethane dispersions be tailor—made and show many of the features of conventional solvent—born coatings and many technological advantages，such low viscosity and good applicability．The modified aqueous polyurethanes comparable beRcr than the conventional solvent—based polyurethanes for many applications． However,there still exist many problems unsolved in this field，especially the poor water resistance of waterborne polyurethane，which limits their application．The increasing requirements of good water resistance and surface properties synthetic material have stimulated the development of modified polyurethane．Recently there has been some interest polyurethanes based nonpolar macrodiols，such PDMS microdiols．The incorporation of low molecular weight PDMS the soft-segment material in polyurethane block copolymers to give materials interesting property were studied by several reports because of the characteristics of the siloxane soft segment．PDMS systems have several interesting properties including low?叠，low surface energy，biocompatibility，and high thennal and oxidative stability．Thus，appropriate functional oligomers should be good candidates for the modification of polyurethanes．But most of these siloxane modified polyurethanes based solvent media． As mentioned above．the waterborne polyurethane has many shortcomings such low water resistance．In tiffs study，to solve this problem，a series of novel aqueous emulsion of siloxane—modified polyurethane[PU一(PE—PSI)]were synthesized based poly(propylene glyc01)(PPG)，polyethe卜gralled polysiloxane(PE—PSI)， 2,4一tulylene diisocyanale(TD0，dimethylol propionic acid(DMPA)and l，4-butanediol(BDO)through l，4-butanediol(BDO)throug
